Painting Activity with little Miss Kyaraa 💖

Painting can help your children communicate their emotions or feelings. Through the use of different colors, they can express themselves without the use of words. Painting allows children an educational opportunity that is also fun and exciting. I always encourage my little one to paint whatever she wants.

Kyaraa wanted to do some painting activity. She loves paints, bright colours and whenever she has nothing to do, she asks me for brush and paints.

We stay in an apartment in Mumbai, which has a small gallery too.

I was thinking to get some beautiful plant pots since a while as the pots which we have are the ugly black and brown pots. I thought why not paint the pots today itself creatively and add to the gallery garden’s beauty.

That’s when we both decided to paint our own pots. We ended up creating a lot of mess but as we all know to make a masterpiece, a little bit of mess is the first requirement !!! Kyaraa really enjoyed this activity, and results were amazing.

Happy Smiley face 😇

Kyaraa busy in painting

My favorite one with combination of white, gold and black.

Completely involve as want to impress her Dad with some amazing stuff.

Happy Gallery

Kyaraa painted and I gave it final touch with tooth brush spray painting.

Thinking deeply

Finally all done and we are very happy.

Art by little Miss Kyaraa

Art is the perfect messy fun for kids and makes for ideal sensory play. My 3 and half year love using brush and play with Colors. I love to watch her painting. I see a fully engaged child when she paints.
Painting is a way for children to do many important things: convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore color, explore process and outcomes. Here is some messy art by my little Picasso.

Return To Innocence!!!

Children are beautiful because they possess something that we have all lost – the quality of innocence.

Kyaraa Doll house

When I watch my 3 year old daughter, Kyaraa, playing for an hour with her Barbie singing to herself, I know I see it… that’s innocence.
Innocence goes deeper than ignorance. It is some mysterious operation of the imagination, the part that can enter mental universes from which one is soon to be forever excluded.

A child can teach adult a lot:

  • To be happy for no reason
  • To be always be curious
  • To fight tirelessly for something
  • To be focused
  • To be imaginative

The innocence of children is their wisdom. It makes them stand out. There is magic of creativity and curiosity in their innocence. There is joy of freedom and happiness in childhood. In their innocent eyes, dreams are born. Let’s learn from children and return to innocence.

I love this song Return To Innocence… It reminds me how this world needs to learn art of innocence. How we need to return to our self.

The freedom of growing mind

I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway… let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves. – C. JoyBell C.

“Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.” – Sydney Gurewitz Clemens

Anyone who has spent time with kids know they can be a uplifting source of joy. I love being with my daughter and just spending time together. she is three and half but very creative. I believe in giving her free hand. She loves to create mess with colours, she loves doing painting and art work. A creative environment is very important for our kids to grow and to understand the way of life. I feel we should create an encouraging and supportive environment in which our toddler feels free to dare, experiment and express their creativity. A creative mind thrives where there is freedom and joy. My daughter loves to dance, she loves playing with colours and she is very curious about everything. Sometimes I feel I learn lot being with her and that’s called joy of life.

According to study ; Children start to demonstrate their creativity from at least the age of one by exploring objects. By two, they can invent ways to use new tools on their own and from around eight years they can even invent their own tools. Virtually all kids are creative, it’s part of their nature. I believe there tiny minds grow more maturely if you give them free hand under your supervision.

Colourful days are here again!!!

Art is a very powerful way to express your feelings, so recently when Kyaraa was playing with colours , I thought to try my hands on it and to teach her.
Somewhere, I think that I do loose my connect with colours coming along the way over the years since college times and now I have realised that this is something that I would always love to do, and had forgotten this over the period of time. This is too much fun, Art is magical, in true sense but it’s not magic! All thanks to Kyaraa.❤️🎨

Judging Competitions Can be Rewarding

As a kid, I remember watching my favorite cartoon and realizing how cool those characters were. Comic-Con is a welcome step away from reality. And now my daughter is so fond of these characters. I feel kids’ imaginations can take them to places that adults can’t go; kids don’t have those filters. And today I a got invitation from RIMS International School and Junior College, Mumbai.

Where they organised a comic con masquerade competition. As I was entering the school’s main gate, I was feeling a bit hesitant as this was my first experience. Even so, at the same time, I was thinking that it is going to be a new learning to be added to my journey. I told the guard that I was here as a judge. He sent me straight to Auditorium where all kids have to perform. Looking at them, I felt confident and remembered my childhood days. Costume plays a vital role in nearly all the popular arts, defining characters, setting mood, and more. It’s an art form dating to scientific history but is consistently evolving, consistently fresh with innovative designs that it often demonstrates. While costumes can look great on a page, poster or collectible statuette, it is different when a person wears them, becomes that unique character, that the real impact happens and to honestly tell you that all the kids’ did really well with a lot of confidence. It was very impressive, All the range of style and ability, talent just everything what I saw was striking.Judging kids is the really tough job, but I personally feel that they win when they want to participate and face the audience from the stage! All in all, in my eyes everyone was the winner in their on way. Thank you again to Rims School management for inviting me to the comic con masquerade competition 2018, it was a wonderful experience. . 🤗💐

What you see in this picture?

It’s time to turn off the lights and explore shadows and the sense of sight. There are so many sense of touch activities, it is nice to switch things up a bit. All you need is a flashlight.

My 3 year old daughter was playing with her flashlight toy and she formed these shadows on wall. I immediately took some pictures.
Wow! This was exactly the canvas that my little one needed to make her shadow creations. We both enjoyed taking pictures.

So, what does your imagination says about these images 💁. I can see Angel in first one Ghost in second.
