Commitment

What gives power to your words, your saying?

If I don’t keep my words nobody else will;

Staying loyal to what I said is important for my reputation.

I need to be accountable to those who trust me for what I tell them.

Be Yourself 💖

Copyright Sue Vincent

Many among us want to be someone else, Without knowing what we actually are,
Be who you are and say what you feel without wanting to become someone else,
Like a sharp blade feared nothing and is beautiful and shiny.
So be yourself because that was how you found yourself, created yourself.
And when you creat your own personality that’s when real magic happens.

With love 💖

Thursday Photo Prompt : Renewal

Copyright Sue Vincent

When we open our eyes in this world, Everything looks fascinating and beautiful,

At our growing age, we are in the constant process of renewal.

As we grow in size and age, we get trapped into constant chase of our desires and wishes, which leads to ego and obsession.

It is time for us to look at what we need to deal within us.

If you are renewed by grace, and were to meet your old self, then no-one is like you.

So, Look at the world with the child’s eye.

With love 💖

Why you are not taking step?

Thursday photo prompt : Untrodden

Copyright Sue Vincent

All along the untrodden paths of the future, holding and hiding the sun of dreams in my palms, I keep on moving.
December evening, thousands of needles they pierce through the body, but I keep on moving.
Life is incessant, only forms change.
Fauna and flora, nature….
Everything is in a continuous change, so I keep on moving.
Dreams in my eyes, eagerness to absorb all new and old, so I keep on moving.

With love,

Smile to Live

“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.” ~The Dalai Lama

I was born and brought up in small town of Himachal Pradesh, India. People there are generally happy and warm. Even my friends say I am a happy-go-lucky person. If you were to ask someone who knows me to describe who I am, undoubtedly one of the first things that they will say is that I am a happy person, no matter what the situation is.

After finishing my Schooling I moved to Delhi and then Mumbai where I finished my post graduation and got opportunity to work in MNC respectively.

While living in the City and working with a MNC, I got so used to seeing grumpy faces all over that I had almost forgotten to smile. People here would seldom smile, sometimes even if they know you they won’t pass a smile. Even if they smile, then it is a kind of forced one and never natural.

I was thinking the other day about what someone once said to me when I was back in office one day. The person asked me ‘hey Anjali, why do you smile so much?’ And that question then made me so awkward that I slowly started forgetting the natural gesture to smile with time.

As years passed, I took break from this Corporate world because of my baby. Here I started realising that I am missing something very badly. But thanks to my 3 year old daughter, I soon realised the missing magic and today I am happy person all again. One day I was just sitting and watching my daughter playing at the garden, she was skipping, hopping and jumping fearlessly…. This triggered my thoughts and my mind trailed back to my childhood flashback showing me glimpses of a girl who could laugh, smile, giggle and be happy even for very small things.

My question is, Why shouldn’t we be generous with our smile? If we smile, we aren’t losing anything. Little we realize that smiling would do a lot of good things not only to others, but to yourself as well. Smile helps people never to feel alone in the world. In all these years I have figured that no one is responsible for your happiness but you. So keep smiling and be happy 😊🤗.

Inspiration : Learning For Life!!!

I use to see her every morning at 6:30am from my balcony doing yoga with her husband and reading books for him in the park. One fine morning I introduce myself and my husband to her. She had one in a million smile to win the hearts of many. A versatile personality in her eighties, wife of retired Squarden leader from Air Force.

Then for a while I got busy with my work and we relocated at a different place. Where l could not hear any thing from her for almost 2 years.

This year I met her again in some common friends gathering, I asked her, where is uncle….she told me he passed away last year…I felt sad to know that.!!! I took a long pause and kept quiet for a while.. then I asked her how does she pass her time now…and the reply was really inspiring which shook me from toe to head, she said that she has enrolled for two diploma courses and taking care of uncle’s books that he had written and the paper work left behind, I was impressed! I didn’t had words to express my feeling about the courageous emotion that she just displayed through her glittering eye. A real inspiration for youngsters to follow. She proved that age is no bar at all if one wants to learn at any point of time! All you need is some inspiration, and even I believe this strongly !!!

Learning is a continuous process and the true learner always looks avenues to learn from anybody and everybody. There is no bar on learners age or the age of the teacher. People learn from their success, achievements and failure. Learning is possible at every stage of life.

A young child can teach you something which you may have not learnt till now. Similarly, every old and poor man can teach you something very new and important.

No matter what your age is you can always start learning something.

Nowadays we have access to so much information through our computers, internets, websites that it is really easy to learn new stuff. So it’s good to keep learning lifelong.
Lifelong learning is about creating and maintaining positive attitude to learn both for personal and professional development. Lifelong learning can enhance our understanding of the world around us. It also help us to improve quality of our life.
There are many benefits of lifelong learning like it keep us involved as active contributor to society. Lifelong learning help us to adapt change, it increase our wisdom. It create a curious mind and leads to enriching and self fulfilment. It help us to make world better place.
And last but not the least it gives us courage to LIVE & Let Live !!!

No one enjoy loneliness. And through lifelong learning older people make new friends and establish valuable relationship. Keeping your mind open and inviting new and innovative ideas to flow in is the best medicine for long life.

So, I feel one should keep on adding to their knowledge for betterment of society and for self growth & development 🙂
